Purna Prasad Mishra elected as the President of Press Union RSS Pratishthan Branch

Purna Prasad Mishra has been elected as the president of Nepal Press Union Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)Pratishthan Branch.

President and Central representative of Nepal Press Union; Shiva lamsal has elected a 11-member working committee unopposed under the chairmanship of Mishra at the general meeting held on Friday at the Rss branch.

The meeting has also appointed  Chet Bahadur Adhikari (CB) as the vice-president of the branch and Rosha Basnet as the women's vice-president.

Similarly, Kamal Basnet appointed as the secretary, Uma Sharma as the joint secretary and Srijana Rai as the treasurer were elected unopposed through the general meeting.

Likewise, Maina Thapa, Muna Karki,  Laxmi Sapkota, Udip Yadav and Kiranraj Bista were elected unopposed among the members.

Earlier, the General Assembly was inaugurated by Central President of Nepal Press Union; Shiva Lamsal, Executive President of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Dharmendra Jha and Congress Young Parliyament Memmber Pradip Poudel, Nepal Press Union Vice President BhishmaRaj Ojha, Nakul Aryal and Jeevan bhandari & General Secreatary  Dilip Poudel along with others.

Inaugurating the general meeting, President of Nepal Press Union, Lamsal said that the press union is a common organization of working journalists who believe in democracy and freedom.
